Studio Policy - Tuition
Making your booking:
Bookings are taken via email. We will endeavour to find a regular time slot, either weekly or fortnightly, to suit your schedule. Unfortunately due to the nature of the studio, random times each week are not feasible and a regular time slot is required. If you are a shift worker we're happy to cater to your schedule through alternating regular slots. The next step is for us to confirm your booking time and connect via skype. The lesson fee will be due 24hrs in advance to the booking. Direct deposit information for Naticus Music will be supplied.
24hr Cancellation Policy:
Naticus Music requires 24hrs notice prior to your booking time for cancellations. This is to ensure your slot is secure, whilst providing a modicum of security to the studio. Cancelling inside of this 24hr period will result in forfeiture of the full agreed session fee. We understand that things happen to everyone and will do our best to work in with your situation. If fees are left outstanding for more than 4 weeks, further action will be taken.
If a situation arises where the teacher isn't available, Naticus Music will provide as much prior warning as possible. Should an event such as an emergency arise that would impact your booking, a make up lesson credit will be given towards a reschedule at a time to best suit you.
We offer a "pay as you go" system, where all fees are due prior to the booked session time. In addition, you can elect to prepay pay for a blocks of lessons. Whilst the studio doesn't operate to typical school terms, this is ideal if you prefer to work off the school term system. It also gives you more flexibility.
Naticus Music caters for weekly and fortnightly lessons, with the provision of special arrangements by negotiation. Unfortunately the studio is unable to offer Monthly lessons due to demand.
All materials, lesson plans and lesson notes will be supplied by Naticus Music. Lesson notes will be delivered within 48hrs of the booking, and are used to help both yourself and the teacher gauged your progress. The copyright of all original materials remains property of Naticus Music, and may not be distributed without permission. A list of "Proficiencies" will also be supplied periodically so you can see what you're achieved more tangibly.
Naticus Music requires 2 weeks notice if weekly or fortnightly lessons are to be terminated. Likewise, if 4 consecutive lessons are missed or rescheduled during the 24hr window without due cause, your regular booking slot will be cancelled and made available to another student.
Much the same as point 2, should an electrical storm, technical interference or family emergency genuinely arise, Naticus Music will endeavour to work in with your situation. The booking fee will still be due for security, but will be marked up a make up credit towards an additional lesson to be scheduled. To emphasise, this will need to be in addition to your usual scheduled lesson, and cannot be used to pay for a normally scheduled session.
To keep our channels of communication open, Naticus Music will supply an email address and social media link for you to get in touch. In return, we require an email address, Facebook link and Skype link to help keep you notified and to ensure your notes are delivered to you on time.
Tuition Support Services:
In addition to your 1hr booked lesson, supplied materials and notes, we also offer an ongoing tuition support service. Should you ever require help with your music studies, or if there is something we can clarify, please don't hesitate to get in touch via the email address supplied.
Trading Hours: Holidays & School Terms
To ensure all student availabilities are catered for (Child, Adult, International Students etc.), Naticus Music maintains normal trading hours regardless of public or school holidays. Any mode of study that suits the student is welcome, ie. term based or continuous tuition. If you're going on holidays or otherwise unavailable for your usual lesson time, please let us know in advance and we'll be happy to work in with you. Likewise, if a teacher is not available, we'll be in touch well in advance to work out an alternative time.
If you're unable to pay for your session, please do not hesitate to speak to us in advance to your session. We're here to help and happy to sort something out to suit your personal situation.
